My name is Rob.  I've been taking photographs on and off since childhood.  I've always been amazed at how different the world looks through a camera's eye piece.  I began, like many, doing travel photography.  What I found was that the process of thinking about and taking photographs opened my eyes to architectural and cultural details I would likely have missed otherwise

For many years I split my time between the City and the Country, which allowed me to do urban street photography and bucolic landscapes.  About ten years ago I took a workshop with a legendary photographer who, while incredibly complementary of my skills pointed out that my photographs of people were all candid shots.  He was right.  My innate shyness held me back from interacting with my subjects.  I took that to heart. realizing that photography could be a path to overcoming my shyness.  So, to me, photography represents growth and empowerment.  And my growth has been chronicled through my portfolio.  And now I've now had multiple exhibitions of my fine art projects.

A photograph is an intimate collaboration between the photographer and the subject.  I bring my technical and artistic skills.  You bring your energy.  My job is to pull your best energy out of you  to create an image you will treasure for years.
